Breast Surgery
Michelle Barletta has worked as a women’s health clinician for over 25 years. She completed her education at Alderson-Broaddus College where she graduated magna cum laude earning her degree in medical science as a physician assistant. Physician assistants work closely with physicians performing exams, and following up on more routine health care issues so that physicians can focus their time on more difficult cases. She started her career in gynecology in Philadelphia and worked there for 15 years and then moved to Florida in 1989.

Helping women navigate their health issues and spending time answering medical questions will be one of Michelle’s major roles here at Women’s Health and Healing. She specializes in making that first time pelvic exam less fearful. She has informal training as a genetic counselor for women at risk for the BRCA gene. Mrs. Barletta has been married for 27 years to the same man! Her greatest achievement in life is her three wonderful children. As a physician assistant the most important aspect of your job is to respect the physicians you work with. I am extremely fortunate to be working with an excellent medical team, said Mrs. Barletta.
